The student Ali Adil has obtained his PhD from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for his dissertation (Cuneiform Symbols Recognition Using Pattern Recognition Techniques and Corpus). This research presents a proposed system for distinguishing these symbols in cuneiform image using techniques for distinguishing patterns, Photomorphism by proposed algorithms. In addition to the proposed algorithms in the field of improving and standardizing the features of the image of the removal of stains and lines of writing, which represent the characteristics of changing the incidence of the presence of one image to another and therefore must be removed to obtain a uniform formula before the process of excellence. Depending on the techniques (image morphology and distance converter) in a new suggested manner. In this research, the group of images is proposed to train the system in the form of triangular shapes, which in turn reflect all the possibilities of the patterns of light reflection on the three-dimensional symbolic symbol (as a certified factor for the first time) distributed by four main patterns, which in turn form 17 rows that differ from each other in direction . In this research, a comparison of the accuracy of excellence of the cuneiform character was carried out when it was based on the construction of the derived characteristics derived from the first use of polygon approximation technique and comparing the result of excellence with the traditional methods of building the characteristics of the character.
